In 2020, SeaPattern was founded in Sweden by a team of visionary scientists, innovators, and engineers who shared a common vision: to make hydropower more efficient, sustainable and accessible.

The idea for the company was born from a collaboration between researchers at Linköping University, the University of Gothenburg and industry experts who recognized the untapped potential of kinetic energy in water flows.

Combining deep technical expertise with a passion for environmental stewardship, we developed a unique approach to enhancing energy production in harmony with hydropower plants and their existing infrastructure.

SeaPattern’s headquarter is located in Linköping, Sweden. As one of Sweden’s leading technology hubs, Linköping is home to a thriving community of research institutions, university and tech companies such as SAAB, Ericsson, Qualcomm and Combitech.

Embracing the Future

Since 2024, SeaPattern is evolving with a new founding team ready to take the technology to the next level and bring it to market. This change has reinforced our commitment to innovation and growth, while respecting the original history that led to our early success.
